Kim Burt awarded CIPD Student of the Year
The Human Resources (HR) team is proud to announce that NTU colleague, Kim Burt, has been awarded CIPD Student of the Year.
The CIPD Student of the Year Award came as a surprise to Kim, who was nominated by one of her lecturers on the Postgraduate Diploma in Human Resource Management. Kim completed this qualification part-time whilst working full-time in HR. Using NTU recruitment data, Kim’s final project was on the effect of the new immigration system on recruitment of professional services at NTU. Her project then informed recommendations to the HR senior leaders.
On completion of her course Kim was then offered a promotion, now in the role of Resourcing and Talent Acquisition Team Leader in the Human Resources department at NTU. In her day to day role, Kim has responsibility for management of the recruitment provision including immigration advice and project management.
I completed my undergraduate degree and Masters degree at NTU, so to have also completed my CIPD qualification here and to have won this award, I am absolutely delighted. I am looking forward to a future full of learning and progressing my career in HR.
Kim has gone from strength to strength, supported by NTU every step of the way. We hope you’ll join us in celebrating her accomplishment and wishing Kim every success in her career and continuing professional development.
